We are a translational research lab in the University of Colorado Division of Rheumatology. We are dedicated to understanding what causes rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and autoimmune interstitial lung disease (ILD). We are also focused on understanding why women develop RA more often than men. We uniquely focus on immune dysregulation at mucosal sites including the lung and female genital tract in individuals at risk for RA and in patients with ILD. Ultimately, we hope our research will lead to new targeted prevention and treatment strategies for patients with RA and ILD.
